There's a book titled Full Catastrophe Living, that teaches the importance of focusing on are lives bit by bit, that there is neither big nor small, there is just life. We shouldn't miss anyone it. By using the "small" things in our lives as mere stepping stones to the big climax, time to be served, we are unable to fully be there for any part of our lives at all. Having children pulls us into being fully there, making us aware of the precious moment by moment experience of our lives. We can fight it, but we come out losers. In the end, being faithful in the small things is everything, and missing them is the ultimate tragedy.
