I like this. We co-sleep too and I hate the idea that it's somehow wrong when it makes all of us happy.

I realized early on as a parent that I have a tendency take people's advice too seriously. I struggled with trying to do what everyone was telling me even though it felt unnatural. The most liberating thing for me was when I decided that I was going to do what felt right to me (in this case it was co-sleeping and breastfeeding to sleep). I resolved to be confident about it (not apologetic to others) and ok with people disagreeing, AND that it wasn't necessarily right for everyone else either. I think what made this step easier for me was that I had the full support of my partner. He just said - 'whatever you think is best, let's do that'.
