We are mothers, fathers, children, doulas, midwives, childbirth educators and pregnant women who love music almost as much as we love children. We strive to find a natural rhythm in childbirth, parenting and family life--preferably, one that has a rich and diverse soundtrack. We share parenting stories and music on this blog.

TAZ TAGORE, BSc, MBA: Taz is a parenting expert, author and social entrepreneur. She studied human biology and chemistry at Queen’s University and then received an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is renowned for her work with homeless persons that leverages spirituality, creativity and community to help break the cycle of poverty (www.ReciprocityFoundation.org) Her work and her organization have been recognized by international juries such as Echoing Green and Ashoka.

Taz authors a popular blog and writes extensively about childbirth and parenting. She is a featured parenting expert on Deepak Chopra’s site, Intent.com. She also writes about parenting for Working Mother magazine, Mothering, Midwifery Today and her own blog, Labor of Love where she reaches thousands of readers every week.

Taz has given lectures and participated in panel discussions at universities and nonprofit organizations including Harvard University, New York University, Echoing Green, American Democracy Institute. She has reached millions of Americans through her television appearances on ABC-News, CBS, Reuters and America’s Next Top Model. She has also been featured in numerous publications such as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur magazine, Print magazine, Metropolis magazine, the NY Daily News, the Globe & Mail, the Toronto Star and the New York Post.
